Kids, it’s election season, the Olympics are going on in Rio, it’s summer (here anyway) and the world seems to be on vacation, but STOP THE PRESSES!! NEWSFLASH!! Burger King is about to rollout its new Whopperito!

Beginning August 15, the burger-burrito combo monstrosity will be available for just a few months. What is it? Just exactly what it sounds like: a burrito made with Whopper ingredients with no mayo or ketchup. Queso sauce will be taking the place of other condiments.

Burger King seems to be aiming at fast-food competitors like Taco Bell and Chipotle, who incidentally, will open its first Tasty Made burger restaurant, this fall in Ohio. It’s on!

So, will you be ordering a Whopperito? Not me, unless they make a veggie version. (Plus, as a grown man, who wants to say Whopperito out loud?) Maybe a man who has no shame, like our own James St. James? We’ll see if he makes a fast-food run to do another office taste test with the World of Wonder staff…?
