Caitlyn Jenner is writing her memoir about transitioning with Buzz Bissinger, the cross-dressing writer who wrote the Call Me Caitlyn, cover story last year for Vanity Fair. Bissinger told the New York Times,
“I made it clear to her before I agreed that everything has to be on the table, nothing can be left out, and I’m going to be interviewing dozens of other people. It’s her book, but it’s going to be reported out to keep her honest. She’s been incredibly open, and I think it has the potential to be a really important book.”
Bissinger wrote Friday Night Lights and won a Pulitzer Prize for his efforts. He’s also written about his addiction to designer clothes, men’s and women’s. (In an article for GQ, he confessed to spending over $600,000 in 3 years. That’s Kardashian-level shopping, kids! He’s the right man for the job!)
Grand Central Publishing released a statement from Jenner saying,
“things have been moving so quickly that it will be nice to slow things down a bit and take the proper time to reflect on this journey” Jenner said she “couldn’t pick a better team” and said she, her publisher and Bissinger want “to make sure this story is told with a lot of honesty and care.”
The book is set for an early 2017 release. (via Pink News)
