Get ready for Book Club 2 — The Next Chapter…
It’s the upcoming sequel to the 2018 comedy Book Club which will reunite its core group of readers, Diane Keaton, Jane Fonda, Candice Bergen and Mary Steenburgen.
Fonda’s makeup artist (on Grace & Frankie & in real life) David DeLeon, has been in Rome posting pics for the last two weeks and when this news hit today he confessed,
It’s official. This is why I’m in Rome.”
The bookish foursome trade their living rooms for a European getaway which will include Andy Garcia, Don Johnson and Craig T. Nelson, the men “of a certain age” from of the first film. It will also introduce new cast members Giancarlo Giannini, Hugh Quarshie and Vincent Riotta.
According to the official description, the club’s vacation goes off the rails after secrets are revealed, sending them on a
once-in-a-lifetime cross-country adventure.”
Somehow a book (or books) must come up in all of this too, no…?
The film is written and produced by Bill Holderman and Erin Simms, with Holderman returning as director.
