Tomorrow is the 30th-anniversary reunion and screening of the classic hip-hop film, Wild Style in New York City. This is THE film that documented the beginnings of graffiti and the beginnings of hip-hop and I’d like to say I’m too young to remember but, honestly, I’m almost too OLD to remember. There will be live performances and appearances by some of the film’s luminaries like Fab 5 Freddy, Lee Quinones, Lady Pink, Patti Astor, and the filmmaker Charlie Ahearn. A live show from 6 to 8PM, with an 8PM screening of the documentary that started it all. It’s free, kids – and if you have kids at this poing, bring ’em. More info here. (Photo: Marty Cooper)
