Harry Brant, the flamboyant son of supermodel Stephanie Seymour and publishing mogul Peter Brant, has been charged with resisting arrest, possessing narcotics, larceny, and refusing to pay a $28 taxi fare after police said he stiffed a cabdriver, then struggled with officers and tried to run from them when they told him he was being placed under arrest. Brant – a fashion darling who has been featured in the WOW Best Dressed List multiple times – was not carrying an ID at the time of his arrest, and also allegedly refused to identify himself until he was recognized by an officer.
From the Daily Mail:
Police said he tensed his muscles ‘while swinging his arms and kicking his legs’ as officers tried to place him under arrest.
They were eventually able to place him in handcuffs, authorities said.
While officers were conducting a search, they found a small wallet on Brant that contained a baggie of a white substance that tested positive for narcotics, police said.
Life has been a bit up and down for Harry and his equally social brother Peter lately. This spring, they released a unisex make-up collection with MAC cosmetics, which was well received. Watch the videos below.
But then… Peter was charged with assaulting a police officer at John F. Kennedy Airport in New York in March. A source said he was acting ‘drunk and belligerent’ at the time. (His own lawyer called him “an idiot.”) The following month, he was accused of leaving one of New York’s trendiest restaurants, Nobu Tribeca, without paying a $2,000 bill.
In January, their mother was charged with with DUI after her Range Rover allegedly rolled backwards down a hill into a white Mercedes. Police responding to the scene said she smelled of alcohol, had bloodshot eyes, and took seven tries to find her ID in her bag.
Soooooo….
Billionaires who consistently skip out on bills, a family in crisis, alcohol and drug problems, multiple legal problems… Sounds like your typical upper class family.
Wonder where they go from here.
