Fox News is big mad that Joe Biden “stole” their “Let’s Go Brandon” joke and turned it into pro-Biden “Dark Brandon” 2024 campaign merch. The Lincoln Project has a great compilation of reactions.
For those of you who touch grass enough and don’t know the whole story, NASCAR driver Brandon Brown was being interviewed as the crowd behind him chanted “F— Joe Biden.” The interviewer thought they were saying “Let’s Go Brandon” and said that to camera. After that, “Let’s Go Brandon” and “LGB” became a way to say “F— Joe Biden” without using a swear word. Real A-tier comedy, but Biden fans pulled an UNO reverse card and turned that meme into another meme: Dark Brandon with laser eyes.
