Betty White is still going, god bless her, at 98 years young, starring in an upcoming Lifetime Christmas movie due out later this year.
via CBS News:
The network revealed this year’s “It’s a Wonderful Lifetime,” slate, which includes a film starring White, according to Entertainment Tonight.
White’s character “helps whip would-be Santas into shape, spreading the true meaning of Christmas,” and her work as a Santa whisperer leads everyone to wonder if she’s secretly Mrs. Claus.
Betty hasn’t worked much in recent years – I’d say she’s earned some time off – so this will mark her first on-screen acting role since making guest appearances on the sitcom Young & Hungry and Fox’s Bones in 2017 and voicing Bitey White in Toy Story 4 and the Disney+ spinoff Forky Asks a Question.
Lifetime revealed its slate of holiday movies are in various stages of production, despite the coronavirus outbreak, which has halted film and TV production around the country.
Hopefully it will be a merry Christmas after all. And a nice way to cap off a crappy year
