Independent production company Fable Pictures (of Stan & Ollie fame) have secured the rights to the story of the world’s most fabulous sisters – Joan and Jackie Collins – and the SIX-hour series will be distributed globally by Sony Pictures Television.
Yes, SIX GLORIOUS HOURS of feuding and big hair and bigger jewels and leopard-print catsuits and massive shoulder pads and dinners at Spago and lunches with Swifty Lazar and OH! the possibilities are just endless!
Responding to the news, Joan commented:
‘I am delighted that such a prestigious team wants to tell our story.’
She furthermore added: ‘I know my sister Jackie would be as excited as I am to be involved!’
Jackie Collins’ daughters Tiffany, Tracey and Tory said:
“We are delighted that [executive producers] Faye [Ward], Caroline [Harvey] and Sony Pictures Television will be producing the remarkable story of our mother and our aunt and their rise to stardom.’
They furthermore said: ‘Our mother always told us when we were growing up that “Girls can do anything!”
‘Joan and Jackie will fabulously depict how true that is!’
