Get ready for a trip down memory lane. Earlier this month, Belgian thrift store Opniew & Co received a nondescript photo album. Inside, they found an older woman posing for photos with hundreds of Hollywood’s top celebrities in the 1990s, including Tom Cruise, Robert Downey, Jr., Bruce Willis, Angelina Jolie, Steven Spielberg, Johnny Depp, Julia Roberts, William Shatner, Harrison Ford, Tom Hanks, Keanu Reeves, Will Smith, Drew Barrymore, Denzel Washington, Jack Nicholson, Kevin Costner… and that’s just a few of them.
Not knowing who the woman was, they posted on Facebook:
We are looking for the owner of this photo book. It was delivered to the giving point in our store in Mortsel on Thursday 6 February. It contains a lot of pictures of a lady with all Hollywood stars. We think this might have been accidentally given and therefore seek the owner of this book.

They soon got their answer: the nice lady was Maria Snoeys-Lagler, a member of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, the group that votes on and awards Golden Globes. Because Ms. Snoeys-Lagler died in 2016, the thrift store has since tracked down her daughter and are making arrangements to have the album returned to her.
