A man so drunk he should have been in an ICU, was instead driving a truck down the center of a two-lane highway when he was arrested by police in Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania. The legal blood alcohol limit in Lithuania is 0.4; Vidmantas Sungaila’s level came in at a disturbing 7.27. Medical experts claim 3.5 is lethal – but what do they know. Apparently, not everything. Sungaila, who was happy and smiling during the multiple breathalyzer tests conducted by disbelieving cops, was fined $1,110 and had his license confiscated for three years. He told police he had been drinking the night before and tried to freshen up by drinking a pint of beer for breakfast. Lithuania, huh? We’re wondering what he smelled like.
