Artist Breakfast is a 24-hour broadcasting event, started by David Horvitz, that follows the morning sun west as it makes its way around the globe. Starting today, just west of the International Date Line, images of breakfasts eaten by artists will be posted live to post’s website. This will happen until it is the morning of July 18, 2013, just east of the International Date Line, when the last breakfast of the day has been eaten. Artists were asked to provide short written descriptions of their breakfasts. Is this a boring idea? Well, it’s certainly banal, but that is part of the appeal. Everybody has, or should have, something to eat in the morning. And people like pictures. I’m a working artist, so I posted mine here (bottom left) for you to see, along with three others from the site. If you CARE, I had water from my spring-fed well, granola, non-fat Greek yogurt, organic strawberries, blueberries, and iced espresso with 2% on my deck in upstate New York. You’re welcome.
