Looks like Lt. Gov. Randy McNally got busted.
Tell me if you haven’t heard THIS ONE before…
Randy McNally is the Lt. Governor that led the Tennessee state senate to restrict drag performances and ban gender-affirming care for minors.
Photos posted by @franklynsuperstar show the 20 year-old posing suggestively with his underwear pulled down. Nothing wrong there, happens every day.
Except that the 79 year-old Lt. Governor’s official Instagram commented repeatedly on Franklyn’s racy photos (with heart emojis) saying things like,
way to go Finn!!! you light up the world!!!
you can turn a rainy day into rainbows and sunshine…
you need to be on dancing with the stars.”
But in a statement, McNally insisted that his intent when commenting on his half naked photos was nothing but
engagement and encouragement.“
The Lt. Governor’s office issued a statement on Wednesday night in part saying,
He takes great pains to view every post he can and frequently posts encouraging things to many of his followers.
Does he always use the proper emoji at the proper time? Maybe not.”
The statement from McNally said,
I apologize for any embarrassment my postings have caused my family, friends and colleagues.
For this reason, I will be pausing my social media activity in order to reflect and receive more guidance on the use of social media.”
McNally also pushed back on perceptions of him as an “anti-gay” lawmaker, insisting that he now has
friends and even a relative who is gay.”
He then went on to recount his track record, including his support for
legislation that would protect children” and “traditional marriage.”
There is no contradiction here.”

None of this behavior was a secret. (Did he want to get “caught”?) Instagram commenters on @franklynsuperstar threads replied to the McNally. One wrote,
@ltgovmcnally I seeeeeeee you!
@blakedoesplays responded to McNally saying,
Why aren’t you sharing the love with all queer Tennesseans?
Or is it just for the ones posing in their underwear?
@chishousemanmusic wrote,
would be really awesome if you wouldn’t take out your clearly suppressed shit on other LGBTQ+ folks
Be transparent and help us reverse this unnecessary hate.”
Couldn’t have said it better. He is apologizing for exactly the wrong thing. Try making a statement saying you’re a hypocrite and your life is a fucked up lie.

So weird to encourage people to do something that will prove Randy to be as terrible of a person as they say, but here we are.
