A beaver walks into a dollar store, and can’t find what he’s looking for…
No, it’s not the setup for a dirty joke, it actually happened the other day in Charlotte Hall, Maryland, when an errant beaver accidentally wandered into a store selling discount Christmas decorations. The beaver walked up and down the aisles, pawing at various items, before it began ransacking the artificial Christmas tree section. Was it angry there was no real wood?
Fox 5 reports that around 10 p.m. on Monday night, St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s office was called for a disturbance at a Dollar Store in Charlotte Hall, Md. When they arrived, they confronted the culprit who had been was ransacking the holiday decorations after perusing the artificial Christmas trees.
According to a statement from the sheriff’s office, the “suspect attempted to flee the area,” The Washington Post said. The beaver was apprehended by animal control and was released to a wildlife rehabilitation center. No injuries were reported in the incident.
