A Queens man accused of stalking CNN’s Anderson Cooper was ordered held on $75,000 bail in Manhattan Criminal Court on Saturday. Alex Hausner, 48, allegedly hit Cooper and his boyfriend Benjamin Maisani with a slew of calls. He tried to get into the couple’s West Village home on at least four occasions beginning six months ago. On June 22, outside their home, he “began to bang with his foot on the door numerous times.” “I swear to f*cking god don’t insult me, I’m going to f*ck you up,” Hausner allegedly said in an scary message caught on security footage. The Queens native (and psych patient) who has been described by friends as a “gay, Jewish, white supremacist,” began stalking Cooper in 2008 and has claimed they were friends with “romantic overtones.” “There was no time to get to know each other. I do love him, but we became more than just friends.” Sure. I guess being famous does have its drawbacks, not the least of which is this sort of thing. (Photo Pacific Coast News via The Daily News)
