Damien Hirst, who it turns out is himself part of the anonymous investment group currently in the process of buying his $100-million diamonds-and-platinum skullpture, has just designed a line of clothes for Levi Strauss. The line, for the “Warhol Factory X Levi’s X Damien Hirst” spring 2008 collection, includes $375 bondage pants and jeans decorated with a skull pattern made of Swarovski crystals, priced at $4,000 a pair (really expensive Bedazzling). Factory X is, obviously, the same label that uses Andy Warhol’s art. In fact, the Hirst collection includes a $100 T-shirt combining his images with those of Warhol’s. After working the runway on September 8 during New York’s Fashion Week, the “Warhol Factory X Levi’s X Damien Hirst” collection will be sold at high-end stores like Barneys and Fred Segal. (Source)
