It seems many Americans don’t much care that coronavirus cases are spiking…
Besides a packed Fire Island and Coney Island on the East Coast, a water park and two lakeside blowouts — brought out droves of people this holiday weekend in Wisconsin, Missouri and Michigan, all of which are seeing their own surges in coronavirus infections.
At the Noah’s Ark Waterpark in Wisconsin Dells, WI, no one was social distancing as they packed the wave pool. Masks? None to be seen.
In Missouri, Backwater Jack’s went ahead with their planned Independence. Day blowout, which they called “No Ducks Given”.
And, in Michigan, another celebration in Diamond Lake was packed elbow to elbow.
Florida reported 9,999 new coronavirus cases on July 4, one day after setting an all-time record of most cases in a single day, 11,458.
But Partygoers coast to coast seem to be oblivious to the pandemic which has so far killed 130,000 Americans.
Noah’s Ark Waterpark in the Dells. All things considered, this is a pretty big crowd. I’ve seen a couple of people wearing masks. Hear from the parks GM tonight on #News3Now @WISCTV_News3 pic.twitter.com/lgRJ9aqbyr— Adam Duxter (@News3Adam) July 4, 2020
