#StillMissing: Alligator Drags 2 Year-Old Into Lagoon at Disney World

Another nightmare in Orlando. An alligator dragged away a 2-year-old boy from his family on Tuesday night at a Disney resort.

The family from Nebraska was wading at the edge of the Seven Seas Lagoon at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort when the alligator attacked. The father tried to wrestle the boy away from the gator but was not successful.

Police said that here were “no swimming” signs posted near the lagoon. A dive team and helicopters searched for the child, who was pulled into the water at about 9:30 PM. Police say they won’t leave until they find the boy but this seems rather hopeless.

Walt Disney World has now closed all beaches in its resort area.
