Texas judge Maya Guerra Gamble has determined that conspiracy theorist Alex Jones failed to provide requested information to the court in a defamation case brought by families of Sandy Hook shooting victims. Jones claimed the shooting that killed 20 children and six adults was a “giant hoax” created by “gun grabbers.”
One of the suits gave evidence that grieving parents Leonard Pozner and Veronique De La Rosa faced death threats after Jones shared Pozner’s private information.
Jones was grilled for three hours in a 2019 deposition. This clip is a grim summary of just some of his outrageous comments and claims.
Losing a lawsuit by default is still a loss, and the damages have not yet been determined. Jones faces other lawsuits related to the matter as well.
