Irrepressible and multi-talented LGBTQ icon Leslie Jordan has released a gospel album, Company’s Comin’, which he says was inspired by his childhood growing up in the Southern Baptist church of Tennessee. It features duets with a number of entertainment bigwigs…. out Counry star TJ Osborne, lesbian rocker Brandi Carlile, Eddie Vedder, Tanya Tucker, Margane, and Chris Stapleton.
Below, a fabulous interpretation of the gospel classic “Where the Should Never Dies” with forever icon Dolly Parton.
Jordan also told NPR about his experience meeting the iconic Dolly Parton for the first time through their mutual acquaintance. He said: “I was impressed with how smart she is and how present she is and what a businesswoman she is.”
Leslie Jordan said working with Parton made making the album a “much better experience because Dolly has done it for so long”.
Also… we go mountain high/valley low with forever WOWlebrity Fantasia Barrino who pretty much brings the house down (as she does) performing “The Blood Medley” on Own network’s Easter special yesterday. You definitely want to watch this. Praise the lord and pass the biscuits!
