Elon Musk sheepishly returned to Twitter last night after pretty much going AWOL
After creating a poll where users ended up voting for him to resign as CEO. More than 17 million people voted, with the results showing on Monday morning that 57.5% wanted him to step down.
He returned to his post by engaging with convicted fraudster Kim Dotcom, who floated a baseless claim that the so-called “deep state” had rigged the poll.
Tweeting at @ElonMusk directly, Kim DotCom claimed the U.S. runs the
biggest bot army on Twitter… let’s clean up and then run this poll again.”
Musk responded,
Interesting.”
Another possible Trump supporter suggested to Musk that Twitter Blue subscribers (who pay $8 a month) should be the only ones that can vote in “policy related polls.”
Musk replied,
Good point. Twitter will make that change.”
He commented on a post from @WallStreetSilv that compared the number of votes in the poll to those who liked the actual tweet.
Did bots brigade the Elon poll yesterday?”
Elon replied once again,
Interesting.”
Unsurprisingly, it seems that Musk, as with Trump and the Right, if they win its, “the people have spoken” – Lose? “It was rigged!”
Interesting
