Yes, The Weeknd splurged and spent $7 million of his own money (plus what the NFL paid) to produce a Super Bowl halftime show that has memes still flying!
A medley of his hits started in the stands, then went inside the stadium and finally took over the entire field.
By the time cores of identically dressed dancers, except for the bandages on their heads made their way out onto the field as Blinded by the Lights started up, the Grammy-winner gave social media a LOT to meme about.
$7 million out of his own pocket, all that red, all those bandages PLUS fireworks just to give us a good show (not to mention the countless memes) no matter what you think, that’s LOT of fun! The Weeknd deserves a nice big,
“Thank you!”
Watch.
