I was glued to the WOW Report [last night] cuz something told me you’d know first about Tori’s baby. A little voice whispered it in my ear, which had nothing to do with the upcoming WOW show, TORI AND DEAN: INN LOVE. Within minutes of your posting that T gave birth, I called and texted friends. (If you don’t believe me, I’ll show you my cell phone bill next month – or “LUDS,” as they say on Law and Order).
J’adore Tori. Always have, always will. All us gays loved Donna Martin in the 90210 days (certainly more than the other choices on that show. Cough cough, Ian Ziering, high school student?). We backflipped over Tori in Scream Junior. Tori proved she was the West Coast Parker Posey in Trick. Her real artistic achievement (so far) was in So NoTORIous – brilliant brilliant brilliant. (Get the DVD, there’s an unaired episode). Maybe we gays also feel a connection since she has had difficulties with Mom & Dad, who knows?
Since she’s mainly a Left Coaster, I met Tori only once, at the premiere party in NYC for Trick. Briefly, and she was sweet. (And pretty).
Anyway, I thought about sending flowers to Cedars Sinai to celebrate her happy news. Then I realized: “This is Tori Spelling. She has a new baby, a nice (and cute) husband, a new TV show, and a new B&B. She grew up in an eleven-billion-square-foot mall, would she care about some 1-800-Flowers moment from a gay she spoke to for two minutes a long time ago? Cuz she definitely (sarcastic tone) won’t be getting any other flowers.”
You know what she might prefer? A donation to Much Love Animal Rescue, her favorite charity. It’s an LA-based non-profit no-kill rescue animal shelter. As a happy owner of three beautiful cats who were rescued from the streets (and adopted through no-kill rescue shelters here in NYC), I can attest to how much love is waiting for you. Much Love Animal Rescue is at MuchLove.Org. (To make it even easier for you, her last PSA is here.)
Congratulations to Tori and Dean. I hope I have cause to stay at the B&B soon. Tell T I make my own bed, I’m great babysitting with infants (including diaper duty), and I am actually a really good cook – I can show her how to rustle up a breakfast for a group that will tie their panties in a double knot.
Tori Spelling is a mom. There is hope for the human race. TORI SPELLING IS A MOM.
