Every year, World of Wonder provides a Thanksgiving feast at the L.A. Gay & Lesbian Jeff Griffith Youth Center in Los Angeles, where friends and staffers can volunteer their time to help serve the meal. And this past Saturday, the STAR POWER also happened to be in full force. RuPaul deigned to celebrate his birthday with the children, and he gave an inspiring speech that had him recounting how, in 1983, he was “homely, homo, and homeless,” but that through learning how to use his internal “GPS system” and believing in himself, he was able to get to where he is today. As she said herself, “I’m still homely, I’m still homo…BUT I AIN’T HOMELESS NO’MO!”
And as if that wasn’t enough, both Michelle Visage (who brought her lovely daughter with her) and Santino Rice were in attendance, as well as WOWers Ed, Alicia, Beth, Jacqueline, Meesh, Michael, Jake, Pete, Rushie, Richard, Rudy, Thairin, John Polly, and HBIC Randy Barbato!
