In rare WOW Report Sporting news: Yesterday, the Milwaukie Bucks refused to take the court for their playoff game in response to the shooting of Jacob Blake, saying they wanted to send a message to the rest of the country. Other teams soon followed suit — and the NBA eventually announced all of the day’s playoff games were postponed.
When asked, President Obama said he “commends” the NBA players who participated in Wednesday’s boycott, saying they’re setting a great example for the rest of the country.
“I commend the players on the [Milwaukee Bucks] for standing up for what they believe in, coaches like [Doc Rivers], and the NBA and WNBA for setting an example,” Obama said.
“It’s going to take all our institutions to stand up for our values.”
Trump, on the other hand, was asked what HE thought, and he did that Trumpian thing where he said said he doesn’t know much about what’s been going on, but then trashed the boycott anyway, saying he feels like “people are a little tired of the NBA, frankly.”
He then added he thinks the league is turning into a “political organization” … and claims it’s bad for fans and the country.
Which president do YOU think got it right?
