Last night as we were surfing the Net for fun, much to our surprise we happened upon a relic from our long-forgotten personal archives – the old-school flexi-disc of celebrity outtakes we made as an insert for the December/January 1989 issue of Details magazine, and which now has been converted into an mp3 and posted on WFMU.org. The disc is best enjoyed by first reading this before listening to it – pops and surface sizzle and all – by clicking here. We remember that soon after the issue came out we were at a party in New York and ran into the wife of Condé Nast chairman SI Newhouse, who said she’d had trouble getting the flexi-disc into her CD player.
