Ah, men’s fashion used to be SO much fun. I remember as a young gay boy in Texas getting the Montgomery Ward catalogue and marking all of the groovy fashions I wanted. An example can be found here, just scroll down and check out that leather fringe vest for $11, I wore it to school in Texas, in the 70s… in the Fifth grade. It doesn’t seem like it today, but that WAS brave. And later I worked at J. Riggings which was the sort of Disco J Crew of the 70s. LOVED that discount. I was also a professional model in high school for 5 minutes (see my headshot, left) and I’m not ashamed –much. I did one Sears commercial, and I remember watching it on a black and white TV they rolled into my geography class because, well, I was famous that day.
