A 6-fingered family has all hands on deck for Brazil’s potential 6th World Cup championship. The Silva family has a genetic condition known as polydactyly, causing an extra finger on each hand over the last four generations. Apparently all the extra fingers around the house really help getting chores done, maneuvering basketballs and fine-tuning musical techniques (see video below). The efficiency gained by 28 extra fingers in one family is awesome to think about. I suddenly feel confined and at a disadvantage with my measly 10. I suppose really though it’s all six of one, half a dozen of the other.
