Details of Barack Obama’s 60th birthday party were revealed after Erykah Badu, H.E.R., and two cannabis-smoking DJs, posted a series of pictures and videos to social media.
The rules on posting pictures from the event were a big no no. But from the contraband pics posted apparently it was an evening full of fantastic food, high-end cocktails and fun. An insider told DailyMail,
“It was Dom Perignon for everyone, all night.”
The Mail reported on the president and a few famous friend’s drink of choice:
- Obama was drinking vodka, straight up, & Dom Perignon
- Beyoncé was drinking vodka martinis
- Jay Z was drinking skinny margaritas with top shelf Don Julio 1942 Tequila
- No word on what Oprah or Michele were drinking..?
“It was a sick fucking party. It wasn’t like a political party. It was a real party.”
Singer H.E.R. – (real name Gabriella Sarmiento Wilson, 24) posted a photo on Instagram showing her with her manager Jeanine McClean and the Obamas. It was removed several hours later.
The night included a performance by Alicia Keys, who sang “Happy Birthday”, as did John Legend, Common performed, as did Erykah Badu who also snuck some snaps on the dance floor with the former president.
The ‘trimmed down’ guest list of ‘close family and friends’ included Gayle King, Tom Hanks, Bradley Copper, Steven Spielberg and lots more.
Despite there being a ban on photography by both guests and workers including talent appearing at the event, TJ Chapman and the DJ/musician he manages, Trap Beckham, managed to snap pis at the event post them and video throughout the evening.
Later, Migos MC was said to have appeared on the raised stage while a DJ spun tunes in between the musical performances, including the 1989 hit Ain’t Nobody by Chaka Khan – in honor of the former president.
On Instagram, he revealed how he did not know initially what the numbers meant – but had soon worked it out.
“Amazing party @barackobama I couldn’t figure out what the 44×60 meant. It’s the 44th president 60th Bday”
Chapman also posted pictures of people dancing, drinks, the food and shots of the DJs toking cannibis at the celebration.
Chapman continued to post Instagram as the pair got ready to perform, but they were all removed from Instagram several hours later. See below.
