We knew it was coming from the teaser of Melissa McCathy singing I Feel Pretty to driving a podium in midtown traffic, so it was no surprise she pulled out her Sean Spicer impression on last night’s SNL.
White House deputy press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders (Aidy Bryant) tried answering questions while Spicer was out hiding in the bushes but suspecting that Huckabee Sanders was targeting his job “Spicey” exploded at reporters.
“That’s right, Spicey’s back, Sarah’s out. Booyah!
Let me just put this whole Russian thing to bed once and for all: Trump is innocent. How do we know? Because he told us so. Period. Then he hired lawyers to agree with him. And they’re gonna prove it with a certified letter which you know is the truth because it costs an extra $2 to have it certified.“
But worried about his job security and whether Trump is lying to him, Spicer ends the press conference and drives his podium to Trump Tower to confront the president. But Trump (Alec Baldwin) was at his golf course in New Jersey, where he tries to kiss Spicer,
“It’s okay, I’m famous.“
Spicer asks Trump,
“Is this like the Godfather where you kiss me and no one ever sees me again?“
