The queen of comebacks, the one and only, the iconic, Miss Lindsay Lohan, confirmed yesterday that she will be – PAUSE, WAIT FOR IT – recording A. NEW. ALBUM.
Her two previous records Speak (2004) and A Little More Personal (Raw) (2005) were yuuuuuuuuuge successes. Like, if you had a driver’s permit in high school, YOU were definitely rocking out to this anthem:
…and who could forget this foot-stomping mid-aught anthem?
One of the best songs of all time or THE best song of all time? You decide.
Then there’s THIS masterpiece:
So yes. She’s A WELL-ESTABLISHED MUSICAL GENIUS.
But back to the upcoming album news.
Yesterday, during a Mean Girls-themed Synatop chat (I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THAT IS), Lohan, joined by longtime wowlebrity Danny Franzese and Rajiv Surendra, was asked by a fan if she would ever bless us with a third LP.
Her response? “I have to record another album for Universal/Motown. And I will.”
SQUEEEEEEAL!
She will! She will!
Then she continued:
With that being said, my sister is signed to EMI. She’s recording a record, and out of respect for her and her true career choice — which is all she wants to do is make music, and her voice is like…Etta James meets Adele; I want to respect her in that lane and stay in my lane working with children and creating films and writing and directing. I will sing in my films, but I want her to sing in them as well. So, as much as I want to sing every day, I don’t want my sister to hate me.”
Hmmm. Well, that doesn’t sound QUITE as promising, but HERE’S HOPING?
