Written by 3-year-old Fenn Rosenthal, with her dad Tom Rosenthal on keys, “Dinosaurs in Love” is a love song for the ages. Telling the story of two dinosaurs who meet, fall in love, eat fruit and cucumbers, and have a party, it takes a wildly surprising turn when then they suddenly get wiped out by a big bang… without saying goodbye to each other. Trust me… TEARS WILL BE SHED.
“I genuinely couldn’t tell you why she wanted to do a song about dinosaurs,” her dad told BuzzFeed News. “She’s got no particular affiliation with dinosaurs at all. They’re not something she particularly cares about or not, this is just what was in her head at the time.””
He says they’ve been to the Natural History Museum a few times, but he said it’s hard to know to what extent she understands dinosaurs and how they went extinct.
“I was pleased because it was obviously fairly accurate,” he added.
Fenn, my nearly 4 year old daughter, recorded her first ever solo song today. She came up with all the words herself and I helped her a little bit with the tune. It’s called ‘Dinosaurs in Love’. 🦕❤️🦕 pic.twitter.com/erCgG0sUvP— Tom Rosenthal (@tomrosenthal) January 28, 2020
