From 1965, an amazingly high quality video of Diana, Mary, and Flo at Big Bear Ski Resort making white kids screech as they move their mouths to a medley of hits.
I think we're all a little bummed that RuPaul's Drag Race didn't get an Emmy nomination. We love RuPaul, we love making the show, and heck, we even love watching it. In the "big picture" we are oh-so-lucky and grateful. As this fan tribute video reminds us, it was a "Superstar" season. Or to quote dlisted: "Mildred Pierce got 21, Mad Men got 19, Boardwalk Empire got 18 and Modern Family has 17. RuPaul's Drag Race: 0. The Emmy hos can sashay away into the Fuck Off Lounge for that one too." Can I get an "Amen"?
June 24, 2011. The same-sex marriage bill was approved by New York Senate on a 33 to 29 vote. I love New York, New Hampshire, Connecticut, Iowa, Vermont, the District of Columbia, and Massachusetts. Let freedom ring.
I smell a rat. In the wake of the Jarrett Barrios controversy, six GLAAD board members recently jumped ship, submitting a joint statement to Politico saying they resigned from the organization's board for “various reasons,” but declined to comment on those reasons because they say "there's been too much unfair and false information spread about GLAAD" recently. Huh? Is that the best they can do? No explanation? No protest? No apology? And these are the people responsible for communicating with the media about gay issues?
