And That's a Wrap. For Real

Nine months after we first began, Fantasia for Real is officially wrapped. It's been a long trip. With a few battle scars to say the least. But the show is good. The crew was amazing. And Fantasia is everything you think she is and more. Yes, there is a lot of love. Read more about it here

    Doin’ It For the Kids

    Doin’ It For the Kids

Austin loves the Bees. Young Texan artist Sloan Burns presented this piece of work to me at Tuesday night's sold-out screening of The Last Beekeeper at the Alamo Drafthouse in Austin. There is a certain amount of interpretation involved (as with the best art), but I think we are looking at a very sick bee with a thermometer reading 7 (which is like 105 for humans). She signed it on the back “to jeremy from bees – thank you for helping the bees.  you did an awesome job.  thank you.” Thank you, Sloan.

You Have To Suffer For Your Art

Self-portraits of me after being attacked by swarms of bees on various shoots for The Last Beekeeper (which premieres tomorrow night at SXSW!).  Pictured here: Bees in my left eye, bees in my mouth, and bees in my right eye.

    Mickey and Me

    Mickey and Me

A few weeks ago, I saw the photo on the left in this NYT Magazine article.  It looked really familiar… then last week, Keith Johnson, the found objects buyer for Anthropologie, emailed me the photo on the right, which he had taken of me at Blakes Hotel in London during a shoot for Man Shops Globe.

    Hot.

    Christmas in Zimbabwe

    Zim 25Billion.jpg

While shooting "Man Shops Globe" in South Africa last week, I came across a man preparing to wallpaper his bathroom with currency from Zimbabwe. With 1 USD = 7500000000000000 old ZD, he figured the whole room would represent a value of less than 1 US dollar.

He gave me a 250 billion dollar note as a souvenir, which feels alot like monopoly money, and whose only design feature is what appears to be royalty free downloadable clip art of a giraffe (in the bottom right hand corner).
