Three words: Douglas Booth, OMG. Five more words: Ed Westwick as Tybalt. Are you with me? Are you there? Are you in line RIGHT NOW? Of course, some might roll their eyes and say: But James, Leo DiCaprio had one of the best Romeo & Juliet‘s of all time, how’re they gonna top THAT? And yes, the 1996 Baz Luhrman R & J WAS spectacular. But lest we forget, the Franco Zeffirelli version with Leornard Whiting was JUST AS spectacular. The fact is, it’s pretty damn hard to fuck up Romeo and Juliet. As long as the guy is snoggable and the girl isn’t too annoying, you’re good to go. And Douglas Booth is more than a little snoggable. He’s the dreamiest leading man we’ve come across IN YEARS. He more than holds his own here. He is, in Shakespearian parlance, TO THE MANNER BORN. Watch this trailer now and tell me you aren’t excited.
