At the World of Wonder Storefront Gallery’s opening reception last Thursday for Clancy Cavnar’s owl-themed solo show, “What A Hoot: An Artful Discourse on Owlism in Contemporary Society,” James St James hobnobbed with the fun crowd, which included Amazing Race goth couple Kynt and Vyxsin, Santino Rice, Chris Crocker, Brandi C from VH1′s Charm School and Angus Oblong, creator of the Cartoon Network’s The Oblongs. He also checked in with Randy Barbato and Fenton Bailey about their take on the show, and got insight into the work from the artist herself, Clancy Cavnar.

At the “No on Prop 8″ protest in downtown LA on Saturday, James St James is inspired and mobilized by the crowd of gay and straight Angelenos demonstrating their fervent support of same-sex marriage. Plus, he gets to chat with the legendary Ann Magnusson, Amanda Barrett of The Ditty Bops, director Wash West, WOW friend and Party Monster actor Daniel Franzese, and Gary Riotto, the first activist to be arrested at the November 5 “No On Prop 8″ rally in West Hollywood.

At the World of Wonder Storefront Gallery’s opening reception last night for Clancy Cavnar’s owl-themed solo show, “What A Hoot: An Artful Discourse on Owlism in Contemporary Society,” nocturnal revelry was enjoyed by all – including James St James, Amazing Race goth couple Kynt and Vyxsin, Santino Rice, Chris Crocker, Brandi C from VH1′s Charm School, Angus Oblong, Lenora Claire, and many others, while an owlish go-go boy entertained the crowd and dispensed treats.

When Paper magazine launched its annual 24-hour department store in LA over the weekend, a cute crowd ready to shop flocked to the event. Among the shoppers were Johnny Makeup (of Cazwell’s “I Seen Beyoncé at Burger King”) and LA’s indie darling Becky Starck of Lavender Diamond.

This is WOW TV’s exclusive footage of November 5′s “No On Prop 8″ rally in West Hollywood, hot on the heels of the November 4 election. Milk screenwriter Dustin Lance Black is interviewed, and the crowd takes to the streets, eventually marching to Hollywood & Highland, where protesters are confronted by violent police officers using excessive force.
