Probably my favorite song EVER. All the nuttiest sound bytes from the World of Wonder/HBO documentary In Vogue: The Editor’s Eye, remixed by Lucian Paine and The Fabulous Pop Tarts (aka Fenton and Randy) into a kicky dance track. Fun Fact: It’s the first time the Pop Tarts have been in the studio in 21 YEARS, and it was WELL WORTH THE WAIT, imho. Listen to the song in the closing credits, left, then purchase the full-length version at iTunes! Only 99¢ for the chicest dance song IN THE WORLD!

World of Wonder Productions vogue Hamish Bowles Documentaries anna wintour The other day, Fashionista threw the fashion world into a tizzy when they speculated about a new Anna Wintour/Vogue documentary in the works for HBO. “A spokesperson from Conde Nast reached out to tell us that while there is an HBO documentary in the works, Anna Wintour won’t be the focus,” they said. “So what will be then? Is another Vogue doc in the works? Or is another Vogue staffer the focus – Grace Coddington perhaps?”

And we just whistled innocently and said nothing.

Today The Cut spoke to Hamish Bowles who revealed more about what we’ve been dying to tell you: That World of Wonder is indeed making the documentary chronicling 100 years of Vogue. “[It's] about the editors who have created some of the more iconic images that have been associated with Vogue,” he said. There’s a book called The Editor’s Eye, and the HBO documentary is kind of timed to coincide with the publication of that book. But it’s exploring the unsung heroines and heroes of Vogue — the great editors from Babs Simpson, who was working with Irving Penn in the forties and fifties to Polly Mellen, of course, who worked with Avedon, and so many others, right up to Grace Coddington and Tonne [Goodman] and Phyllis Posnick and Camilla Nickerson. It’s great, because perhaps until The September Issue people weren’t aware how incredibly important the sittings editors were. They’re individual, strong, creative eyes, so it’s interesting to see.”

Bowles went on to say that Fenton Bailey and Randy Barbato had been around the Vogue offices a lot lately.  “They’ve been a presence, yes. They’re wonderful,” he said, before adding: “We’ll see if I’m still saying that come the fall.”
