From the satirical blog ChristWire: ”[We have condensed] the dreams of our epoch’s most infamous internet and media personalities into pithy, sincere expressions… If today’s so-called artists and thinkers had the energy and wherewithal to actually write something in long form worthy of paper as opposed to their nagging Twitter updates or their blog tirades, this is what they’d write.” BOOM. vintage books the 60s Hollywood legend chic camp beauty advice Arlene Dahl From the 1965 classic Always Ask a Man: Arlene Dahl’s Key to Femininity, in which the screen legend/advice columnist/astrologist dispenses classic tips on what is and what is not chic. My faves: “A gay dinner hat,” ”A trademark too ingenious too be corny,” and “Perfumed fans.” And woe to the woman with “a strident voice” who wears “diamonds at breakfast.” DEFINITELY NOT CHIC.
