The Hunger Games is SO LAST WEEKEND, I can’t believe people are even still talking about it. It’s all about the sequel, of course, Catching Fire, and who will play the pivotal roles of the District 4 tributes Finnick Odair and Mags. Finnick is 24 years old and described as being tall, handsome, with tan skin, bronze hair, and stunning sea-green eyes, making him quite the ladies man in the Capitol. My 12-year-old niece INSISTS that Alex Pettyfer is perfect for the role, but I’m thinking more along the lines of Chris Evans, Charlie Hunnam, or maybe Alexander Skarsgård’s little brother. I was on Tyler Hoechlin’s Twitter page the other day, and saw that Teen Wolf fans were clamoring for HIM to be Finnick. I could see it. I mean, if Cinna can look like Lenny Kravitz then anything is possible. Now Mags is probably a little harder to cast. She’s 80 years old, remember, and in my mind looks like Grandmama on The Adams Family. Of course everyone will want Betty White to do it, because ADMIT IT, you went there while reading the book, and she IS our national go-to for old lady casting, but I’m thinking we put Kim Catrall in a white fright wig and GET HER THAT OSCAR SHE’S BEEN DENIED SO LONG! Or, here’s an idea, close your eyes and let the image splash around your brainpan, MISS BLANKENSHIP FROM MAD MEN! Now THAT’S a tribute I would sponsor! Who do YOU think should play Finnick and Mags?
Kid with a portrait of Steve Jobs shaved into his hair was photographed today in front of the Fifth Avenue flagship Apple store in Manhattan as he waited in line to get his iPhone 4S, which launched today. But the real story here is not about the kid with the hair, it’s about the magnificently talented Renaissance-era tonsorial artist who created the subtly nuanced image. Amazing. (via Mogulite)
