With pain-filled voices the coaches/mentors and contestants of The Voice opened the show last night with an emotional rendition of “Hallelujah” as a tribute to the victims of Sandy Hook Elementary. I don’t know if this story will ever get easier to tell. I’m so thoroughly distraught.
Blake Shelton and his mother Dorothy Shackleford and Christina Aguilera and her boyfriend Matthew Ruttler were a party of four dining at Osteria Mozza after appearing on Extra at the Grove in Los Angeles yesterday. We’re almost liking Xtina’s sultry look, dip-dyed hair, and star-spangled butt. Almost. (Photos: Pacific Coast News)
This blogger is addicted to this feel-good show, thanks mostly to the hilarious interaction between judges Levine and Blake Shelton. And the contestants aren’t too shabby either. It’s no wonder The Voice is clobbering American Idol. (via Swoonworthy)
From WetPaint: “Dez was the Yale football player who auditioned for the show last season and failed to turn any chairs. He sang The Backstreet Boys’ ‘I Want It That Way,’ and pop diva Christina Aguilera was pretty bummed that she didn’t pick him. But this season, Dez was a bit luckier. The sexy singer impressed Blake Shelton, Christina Aguilera, and Cee Lo Green and got three chairs to turn for him when he sang Hall & Oates’s ‘Sara Smile.’ Not willing to repeat last year’s mistake, Xtina wouldn’t take no for an answer and Dez soon joined her team. According to Dez’s Facebook page, he grew up one of six children in Shreveport, Louisiana. His parents are both pastors, and Dez and his older siblings even started a Christian band called Duron when he was 11! The singer is also a jock who loves football, baseball, and running track. Though he dropped out of Yale to pursue a career in music, singing isn’t his only career option. Dez is a model for American Eagle and can be seen in the clothing store’s latest commercials with Season 2 contestant Angel Taylor.”
I don’t know what it is about Michael Buble that hits me down there, but it sure does each and every time. That voice, those bedroom eyes, and now he will be coming into our homes as Blake Shelton’s celebrity adviser on The Voice. Two hot ass dudes for the price of one? Hello? Can someone get me some extra batteries? (Photo: Pacific Coast News)
