Have we got a doozy for you today! We’ve got Tammie Brown, Tom Campbell, Lady Bunny and Ms. RuPaul herself on this week’s episode of WOWSN! This week we’re featuring The World According to Wonder written by our fabulous boss Fenton Bailey. The book is chock full of photos of wowlebrities. I mean EVERYONE is in there! You can get your copy on Amazon. It makes a great gift! Make sure you tune in to WOWPresents every Friday for a new episode of WOW Shopping Network.
HAPPY THANKSGIVING! The holiday season has officially begun, so Tammie Brown and I are celebrating for a new episode of #JohnPollySays! She’s divulging the secrets of “chispas!” (Sparks!) We talk Santa Claus Vs. Jesus! The Three Wise Men vs. Shepherds! And offer Christmas greetings in many (okay, maybe 2-1/2) languages.
And then best of all, Tammie Brown (with her cute/handsome guitarist Michael Catti) sing one of their original holiday songs, “Coal in You Stocking.” It is a new holiday classic. And it’s also magical!
For more yuletide surprises, come see Tammie’s live “Holliday Sparkles” show in West Hollywood (which is in Los Angeles, kids) this Sunday evening! It’s at Fubar, doors open at 7pm, it’s a mere $15, and it’s sweeter and more intoxicating that a rum-spiked eggnog .
As far as RuPaul’s Drag Race Reunions go, this first one may be my favorite. It’s certainly the one with most yelling, tears, dragcusations, fussing and to-die-for lines. RuPaul pops off on just about ALL the queens about learning to own your own fierceness; Shannel lets the judges have it, Ongina cries, Jade & Rebecca spar then hug, Akashia has a stain, cries, laughs it off like a champ, then grabs Santino’s ass — and yes… Tammie Brown, tries to keep it clean and then utters a line that still shatters me (in the best possible way). It really is all about WALKING. CHILDREN. IN. NATURE. Shut it down. Game over. Bless us all.
So this Monday before Thanksgiving, let me express my heartfelt thanks and respect to all the Season 1 queens. They set the standard! And before you get tripped out on the days of Stove Top stuffing looming ahead, please ingest this week’s Extra Lap Recap. It features the most special guest EVER: Tammie Brown herself! And it also features many new gay ways to say HAPPY THANKSGIVING. Like TRANSGIVING! (I stole that one from RuPaul.)
And then… go peep this teensy little RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 6 teaser promo of about 10 seconds of Ru vamping up a pretty mess all over the floor. Season 6, like winter, IS COMING!!!
And if you missed the Season 1 Reunion ranting and revelry, just go watch at LogoTV.com. Then, say grace so we can eat.
Near the end of every season of RuPaul’s Drag Race, there comes an episode of flashbacks, never-before-seen video, highlights, auditon reels and other bodacious stuff that didn’t fit in the regular episodes. It’s lovingly referred to as “the clip show” and Season One’s was a gem! So, in this week’s Extra Lap Recap I’m giving you my own little flashback recap, and doling out awards to some of this season’s most stellar queens. And I’m also celebrating many many many legendary drag sisters out there in the queendom-at-large who have worked hard through the years to make drag a bold, vibrant and f**king fantastic part of our herstory. (To any legends I left out… I RuPaulogize already!)
ALSO THIS WEEK: I eat a chili dog and get slippery with some petroleum jelly. ‘Cuz why not? It was that kind of weekend.
If you’ve not yet spooked this week’s full Drag Race episode, steer your stirrup pants over to LogoTV.com and enjoy the ride. And then get ready: Next week it’s gonna get downright FINALE-tastic up in these parts. XOXO!
Last night Tammie Brown sashayed back to Planet Tammie. So sad to see you go so soon. Much love. Peace, love, and Tammie! Check out her cover of RuPaul’s Drag Race Magazine and watch her audition tape! Photo credit goes to Mike Ruiz. And special thanks to Mathu Andersen! Tune in to Logo every Monday at 9PM to watch RuPaul’s Drag Race: The Lost Season Ru-Vealed.
