Some of us at WoW have known Justin Tranter since he was just a hellaciously talented young solo songwriter/rocker on the rise in NYC nearly 10 years ago. In 2006 he formed the blisteringly lovely band Semi Precious Weapons, and they’ve since toured with Lady Gaga all over the world, appeared in Gaga’s “Telephone” video (I think they all die in the diner scene. Fun!) and Tranter even got dishy press for partying with Kate Moss in London.
Today, Semi Precious Weapons releases their new single, “Aviation High” and it’s dreamy. Now based in LA, Tranter and his bandmates are prepping a new album out later this spring, planning a tour, and writing tunes for other artists. Simply put: They are busy bitches.
