The folks at E! have confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter that there will not be another season of the swimmer’s scantily viewed What Would Ryan Lochte Do? reality series that followed the Olympian as he trained for the 2016 Games, rocked a personal life, and taught people how to properly pronounce his trademark “jeah.” It ended its eight-episode run in May, averaging only 440,000 total viewers. And, frankly, even we stopped watching it after sitting through one episode. Although it was fun, it meandered. Very sad; we had such hope. However, an E! source says the network would like to work with Lochte again at some future time. (Photo: Pacific Coast News)

A screen grab from the E! reality series What Would Ryan Lochte Do? which we love. Now, certain folks here (you know who I mean) insist this is Lochte’s excited penis making tent. Sure, we’d like to think that, too, but it’s very possible, nay, probable that it’s his knee. Whaddaya say? We missed this episode, so we’re going to have to On Demand it when we get home. First thing. (via guyism)
Just one of the many takeaway opportunities afforded a blogger watching the 30 minutes of takeaways that comprise the glorious new reality series What Would Ryan Lochte Do? in which the adorable buff swimmer with the pointy nose really doesn’t DO anything but mug in reaction (hilariously) to what others do, or ask him from behind the camera. We were not at all disappointed in the premiere episode; it was just what we expected, and delightfully so. And we’ll be watching it as long as it remains on the air. So sue us.
We still like Ryan Lochte (what’s not to?), but we’re running out of things to say about him. Luckily for us, his reality show What Would Ryan Lochte Do? premieres Sunday on E! ”My biggest passion is swimming but it’s a sport that doesn’t really get talked about until the Olympics,” he tells Cosmopolitan mag. “That’s one of the reasons I wanted to do this show. I want people to enjoy the sport as much as I do. I am a single guy right now, but you’ll see me going on dates on the show. If a girl is really independent, that’s a turn-on for me. And she doesn’t have to play sports for me to be interested in her.” Will you be watching the show, gentle WOW Report readers?
