Quote Unquote Penn Badgley Gossip Girl The Upper East Side was like something from Fitzgerald or Thackeray – teenagers acting like adults, adults acting like teenagers, guarding secrets, spreading gossip all with the trappings of truly opulent wealth.

“And membership into this community was so elite you couldn’t even buy your way in. It was a birthright – a birthright I didn’t have. And my greatest achievements would never earn me.

“All I had to compare it to was what I read in books. But that gave me the idea: I wasn’t born into this world … maybe I could write myself into it.

“I overheard enough conversations to be able to mimic the language of the Constance girls, but every writer needs his muse and it wasn’t until that photo of Serena in the white dress that I knew I had something strong enough to actually create a legend and launch a website.

“Within weeks I was getting dozens of emails with stories about Upper East Siders, so I posted them anonymous. And then I got more. Before long it was a monster.

“Everyone was sending tips … And when Serena came back from boarding school, I wrote my first post about me, Lonely Boy, the outsider, the underdog. I might have been a joke but at least people were talking about me.”  – Dan Humphrey reveals that “Lonely Boy” was Gossip Girl all along, on the Gossip Girl series finale. And if you’re having trouble with that too, check out ButYouWereDanTheWholeTime, a new Tumblr which plans to re-watch every episode to see how many plotlines no ,onger make sense.

Penn Badgley Maggie Smith Gina Gershon Dustin Hoffman Dita Von Teese celebrity roundup Gina Gershon, on a career upswing after her tour-de-force performance in Killer Joe, heads into the Wendy Williams Show; Dustin Hoffman hugs it out with Dame Maggie Smith at the Quartet Premiere during the 56th BFI London Film Festival; Penn Badgley on the set of Gossip Girl, and yes the show may be nearly over and it hasn’t been any good in five years, but he’s still got the best hair in the business and those lips ain’t bad either, so I will continue to post pictures of him even after his celebrity has expired. Which brings us to Dita. Dita, Dita, Dita. I just want to know how she does it. Where she gets the money to buy those clothes. How she keeps getting invited to to those A-list events. Her fame is based on a pretty thin premise. And it can’t pay THAT well. And she’s not THAT charming. Somebody pleeeease explain her enduring popularity. (Yes, of course I’m extremely jealous.) stevie guide snap! Penn Badgley Gossip Girl celebrity nipples

It’s not like us to borrow from Neil Young very often, but we often lose sight of our personal guidelines when it’s time to come up with headlines for these posts, so please excuse. Meanwhile, pointedly, here’s Penn Badgley on the New York City set of Gossip Girl, introducing a new member of the cast: his left nipple. That excited vestigial part looks to have remained totally committed in a number of scenes, while the right one stayed in its trailer all day. (Photo: Pacific Coast News)
