I LOVE Jamie Dornan. Yes, I said it. But I love him in The Fall (UK) and I wish he wasn’t going to be Christian Grey because now I have to go see this inevitable piece of trash just to revel in his Northern Irish beauty. Dakota Johnson as Anastasia Steele? I have no thoughts yet, I will let you know. I am sure you all have thoughts though, so let ‘em rip.
With only one new horror movie released in theaters this October its time to dust off the classics, here is a look back at the Exorcist hysteria including real audience reactions, what do you think it would take for a horror movie to ever have this same impact? In 1973 The Exorcist grossed over 232 million dollars at the domestic box office, if you adjust for inflation that would be the equivalent of over 890 million dollars! Video: Behind the Exorcist
If you haven’t heard, Jay-Z is producing a remake of Annie with an ethnically diverse cast. Quvenzhane Wallis is playing the lead and Jamie Foxx is playing a character named Benjamin Staxx, which I am assuming is the Daddy Warbucks character. Miss Hannigan will be Cameron Diaz; not sure how I feel about that, but I will definitely be seeing this one. I am so intrigued by what Jay Z’s vision will be musically, etc. It can go either way. Hot off the spectacular (we’re guessing) Breaking Bad final finale (which hasn’t aired yet), Jesse Pinkman’s Aaron Paul scored the starring role in the feature film Need for Speed, playing a mechanic who races muscle cars on an unsanctioned circuit and, after doing time for a crime he didn’t commit, is on a course to revenge the guy who killed his best friend. Flick also stars Dominic Cooper, Imogen Poots, Michael Keaton, and Dakota Johnson. Scott Waugh’s fast-paced drama is based on the EA video game and won’t be released until March 14, 2014. So not strictly “hot off.”
So, I was initially confused because I always thought Dumb and Dumberer was the sequel to Dumb and Dumber, but since Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels weren’t in it, maybe that’s why it wasn’t considered the sequel? Uch, whatever. What I do know is that a sequel is happening, and they are filming Dumb and Dumber To now. Jeff Daniels IG’d this pic for photographic evidence. Do you care? Do you think it’s been too long? Or are you excited?
This looks great. Keep watching to see an ass-naked Jude Law, if you like that sort of thing.
Sixty-one scenes of movie and TV characters leaping or falling from great heights. A little something to hold you over until Gravity is released on October 4.
