Madonna has replaced Georgia May Jagger (that didn’t last too long) with singer Rita Ora as the face of her clothing and accessories line Material Girl. I have to say that her original line, Boy Toy, excited me more than the stuff in this line and, yes, I do realize I am not the target demo, but still. Maybe because that was 30 years ago and I was a mere child myself, or maybe because it wasn’t too over-thought and sifted through with focus groups and research. When I went to buy a piece from Boy Toy, it was buying a piece of Madonna’s style. Evolution, I suppose.

Oh Macy’s, my how you’ve grown. The department store is celebrating Brazil and this lovely necklace is a piece by designer Maria Oiticica. Maria, known for her “biojewels,” makes her pieces from components that come directly from the floor of the Amazon. I don’t know about you all, but I just squeezed my legs together a little tighter. Madonna, in a black, sheer (read see-through) Dolce & Gabbana dress over a black bodysuit and sporting a crucifix necklace and skull-and-crossbones earrings, turned up at Macy’s Herald Square last night for the debut of her much-anticipated (so it’s said) scent, Truth or Dare. Macy’s had already pre-sold 300 of the $151 perfume kits – KITS! Take that White Diamonds – which included a 2.5-ounce Truth or Dare by Madonna eau de parfum spray, a 1.7-ounce eau de parfum spray, a 6.7-ounce body lotion, a T-shirt, a deluxe edition of Madonna’s new album MDNA, and the 1991 documentary Truth or Dare on Blu-ray disc. But instead of fans getting their kits autographed or being photographed with Madge, the star was whisked away into a tent specially pitched in the Square for a game of Truth or Dare with press and buyers. Meanwhile, say what you will about Madonna – and you will – we think she looks pretty great in these photos. (via HuffPo)
