Lionsgate released dozens of stills from their upcoming Miley Cyrus/Douglas Booth rom/com and it just looks DREADFUL. This is the IMDB description, I kid you not: “In a world connected by YouTube, iTunes, and Facebook, Lola and her friends navigate the peer pressures of high school romance and friendship while dodging their sometimes overbearing and confused parents.” And guess who her mother is? Demi Moore. Which actually isn’t that farfetched. And now that I think about it, seems pretty fabulous. But these pictures tell another story. Miley and Douglas making goo-goo eyes at each other makes me want to vom. I had really high hopes for Douglas Booth, too. His Romeo and Juliet, due out later this year, seems promising (he’s the second coming of Leonard Whiting, imho), and remember how good he was as Pip in last year’s Great Expectations? I had hoped he would become one of those rare “respected AND humpable” actors, but draping oneself over Miley Cyrus is not the way to do that (even Liam Hemsworth has stopped doing that when the paps are around).
