Is it true? Katie Holmes to quit Hollywood and go to law school because she wants to be a better role model for Suri? Mind you, this story comes from the Enquirer, but I’ll buy it for a buck. The reason I buy it is that in the ’90s she enrolled at Columbia University but deferred her enrollment because she landed Dawson’s Creek, the little ditty that kicked off her career. Let us also not forget her daddy is a very successful attorney himself, so maybe it’s something that has always been on her mind from the jump. If it’s true, brava. Law school is no joke. According to HuffPo “she has apparently enjoyed several dates with the Brokeback Mountain star, including several romantic dinners at Jake’s West Village apartment in New York.” Hmmmm. Other than the world not ending, it’s a pretty slow news day, which is why I’m posting this picture of Katie Holmes entering the Ed Sullivan Theater for an appearance on The Late Show with David Letterman. It’s not that I like Katie, or think she looks particularly pretty here, it’s just that I’m a big fan of olive and fuchsia being worn together. I also enjoy chartreuse and maroon. And a nice confederate blue with a rusty red. Oh! Oh! And brown and navy. LOVE brown and navy. Slow news day, like I said. What are YOUR favorite oddball color combinations?

Katie Holmes and British actor Jeremy Strong wander the streets of Manhattan after taking in the off-Broadway play If You Haven’t Found it Yet. According to Pacific Coast News: “After the play the pair grabbed a coffee and walked around in circles in her neighborhood before sneaking in the back garage entrance of her apartment.” Jeremy is currently in the indie sleeper hit Robot and Frank.

This TomKat-owned house in Sussex, England, will most likely be up for sale very soon. Located a stone’s throw from the UK’s Scientology headquarters, the house, called Rede Place, has six bedrooms, an indoor swimming pool, underground garage, sports pavillion, games room, state-of-the-art greenhouse, a high-tech security system, a staff cottage, extensive grounds, blah blah blah.
