Can they do it? Do you care enough to watch? Those are the questions people are asking. The word is that American Idol knows the time has come. The ratings haven’t been this low since the show debuted in 2002 and took over the globe. Even a staged catfight between Nicki Minaj and Mariah can’t get people to watch anymore. So what’s a once unstoppable TV juggernaut to do? Go back to their roots to say farewell. They are allegedly trying to get the original judges, Simon, Randy, and Paula for the last season, next year.
