Everything Motown is hot again thanks to Motown The Musical. So could the rumor of the remake become a reality? Who do you think should play the title role of Mahogany? Or better yet, who should be cast as the sexually creepy photographer originally portrayed by the sexually creepy Anthony Perkins?

Miracles happen. And I don’t mean the Smokey Robinson kind. James St. James came across this shocking photo. The two surviving, original Supremes, Diana Ross and Mary Wilson, reportedly feuding for years, shared the stage during the curtain call at the Broadway premiere of Motown The Musical. And all I want to do…all I want do…oh, is cry, cry, cryyyyyyyyyyyy. Paging Cindy Birdsong. There just might be a Supremes reunion yet. (via Centric)

Tonight, on the occasion of the premiere of Motown: The Musical, I present the “Leading Lady Medley” from the 1969 NBC special Diana Ross and the Supremes & the Temptations G.I.T. (Gettin’ It Together) on Broadway. Yes, the longest title in herstory. Gag as Diana Ross performs six Broadway standards with a “Sound of Young America” beat, and wearing SICKENING costumes designed by the legendary Bob Mackie, who just so happens to be an extra special guest judge on Monday’s RuPaul’s Drag Race.

Living legends Berry Gordy, Smokey Robinson, and Diana Ross at tonight’s Broadway opening of Motown: The Musical. I saw it last weekend in previews. The critics may pan it, but with an incredibly talented cast singing and dancing to over 40 timeless songs, it’s gonna be a monster hit. To paraphrase the Supremes, “And there ain’t nothin’ you can I do about it!”
