Two very different takes on Lou Reed’s classic song, as heard in the Prohibition-set movie Lawless, one by The Bootleggers featuring Mark Lanegan and one by Dr Ralph Stanley. Watching the film, you might actually start wondering if Lou Reed’s version of the song could have been a cover of Dr Ralph’s hillbilly version, it sounds that authentic.

You’ll find 13 other covers of the anthemic Beatles song (written by Paul for John’s son Julian) by such disparate artists as Elvis Presley, Bing Crosby, The Grateful Dead, and Shirley Bassey at BuzzFeed.
